  • Four free things to do in Calgary in the summer
  • Calgary is the cultural center of the province of Alberta, and that is something that can be seen practically in every street of the city. In Calgary, you will find many art exhibitions and fascinating museums, which contribute to a better understanding of the history and culture of the city and the country. Currently, the city has become one of the most visited in the country, thanks to the number of activities to do the development of ecotourism and winter sports, in addition to having become a very significant technical and monetary center. Following are some of the most representative museums in the city:

  • Glenbow Museum
This is the largest museum in western Canada. It has 20 galleries, with permanent exhibitions of North American art, sculptures from Asia, and special rooms that tell the story of southeastern Alberta and its first settlers. Here you will find paintings, photographs, and sculptures; it is very worthwhile to take a walk if you are in Calgary.

    Studio Bell
The Calgary National Music Center is located within this building, but it is also a newly built museum in the city. Its facade is impressive, and it is worth simply observing it thanks to how impressive it is if you are a fan of architecture you will enjoy this place a lot. Also, inside you will find a lot of exhibitions that tell the history of music in Canada, educational displays, historical artifacts, and immersive spaces. This place is full of wonders and you can easily spend all day visiting its 5 floors.
Hours: From Wednesday morning to Sunday evening.

  • Grain Academy & Museum
In this place, you will see a variety of films, artifacts, historical photos and exhibitions about the history of the farms and the cultivation of the grain to date. Once, throughout the province of Alberta, there were more than 5,000 "grain elevators", and here you will see some and understand their role in storing, distributing and transporting the grain of the peasants during the seventeenth century.
Hours: Monday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm
Cost: Entry for a suggested donation

  • Heritage Park
This is the largest living museum in Canada. In this wonderful site, visitors will be able to experience how people lived at different times in the history of Alberta, through interaction with characterized characters, original constructions, and replicas of buildings from each historical era. The interesting thing about this place is that the moment you step on it, it is literally as if you could move in a time machine and you could experience what Alberta was like in its first years of existence. Undoubtedly, it is worth a lot that you dedicate at least 3 hours to this place since it is very large and inside you will find many activities for all tastes and preferences (including an original passenger train that is still working and where you can upload).

As your guide when it comes to buy or see properties in Calgary (including Downtown Calgary, Chestermere, Airdrie, Cochrane and Okotoks), our promise is to bring integrity tinto every transaction. We put the interest of our client first.
